Our Standards

How ingredients are evaluated, formulated, and managed in practice.

Ingredient Traceability

Standard
Ingredients must be traceable from origin through formulation.

Description
Each ingredient is sourced from suppliers that provide documented information on origin, handling, and processing. Traceability allows ingredients to be evaluated beyond their name on a label, including where they come from, how they are processed, and how they are intended to function within the formula. Ingredients that cannot be adequately traced or explained are not included.

Human Grade

Standard
Ingredients are selected to meet human-grade quality standards.

Description
Where applicable, ingredients are sourced from suppliers that produce materials suitable for human consumption. This standard reflects expectations around sourcing, handling, and documentation, rather than marketing terminology. Pet supplements are approached with the same level of scrutiny applied to products intended for people, without lowering standards based on category.

Bioavailability

Standard
Inclusion is evaluated based on usability, not presence.

Description
Ingredients are assessed not only by their inclusion level, but by their ability to be absorbed and utilized as intended. Form and interaction within the formula are considered during development. Ingredients that cannot be effectively used by the body are not included solely for label representation.

Clinical Research–Based

Standard
Testing is used to verify quality, safety, and consistency.

Description
Ingredients and finished products undergo testing to confirm identity, purity, and compliance with internal specifications. Where applicable, ingredients are selected based on clinical research conducted on specific forms or strains, rather than generalized ingredient categories. Testing and verification are applied to support formulation decisions, not replace them.

Manufacturing Compliance

Standard
Manufacturing follows current regulatory and quality requirements.

Description
Products are manufactured in facilities that follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). While pet supplements are not subject to FDA pre-market approval, manufacturing processes are designed to meet applicable quality and safety guidelines, including documentation, process controls, and batch-level oversight.
